Natural Spa Treatments
Many spas play CDs with ocean sounds or birds noises to help calm your soul while giving you a massage. In Costa Rica all one has to is open a window to hear the sounds of nature. Organic oils and lotions are popular at many saloons but nothing is quite as organic as fresh coconut oil and papaya masks from neighboring trees. Experience a relaxing massage at a number of Costa Rica’s rustic and nature inspired establishments along the Caribbean coast.
Tortuguero National Park
Tortuguero National Park contains an incredible network of canals with boats as the only means of transportation. Mangrove forests that edge the canals are the place to look for wildlife. The park’s 23 miles of beaches are protected nesting grounds for the green sea turtle. If you are in Costa Rica from July to October you can take a night tour along the beach to watch turtles lay their eggs for a memorable experience. Visit Tortuguero National Park any time of year as there is always plenty of nature sightseeing.
