The development team behind Los Cielos Estates is the group of friends and businessmen who decided to fulfill their dream of living the "Pura Vida" lifestyle surrounded by nature and tropical beaches.

Kris Machalica and his partners are all Polish natives who have been living and operating successful businesses in the United States for nearly three decades. While doing so they successfully completed their first development project on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. Their small resort known as Caribe Town sits adjacent to El Camelon, the only five star hotel on the Caribbean Coast. Caribe Town was designed, built and managed by the group.

Subsequently their success with the Caribe Town project inspired them to take on a bigger dream of developing Los Cielos Estates. Their vision was for a community of foreigners and residents to come together and live the good life while being surrounded by the nature and beauty of Costa Rica. With their background and experience in real estate, construction and marketing this well rounded development team did just that.

The dream started with being surrounded by peaceful nature, the tranquil sounds of the nearby ocean and the breathtaking views of Talamanca Mountains. The nature and beauty of Costa Rica was at the core of their dream, the next step was to develop a community with 100 individual lots, a communal club house full of amenities, a restaurant, and grocery shopping. We partnered Architech Paul Asaro and local craftsmans to offer custom island style homes that blend in with the surrounding nature. The affordable prices Los Cielos Estates has helped make this jewel of the Caribbean coast attainable by those interested in sharing in their dream.

The dream started after touring other Costa Rica developments. These developments were all about bringing the Western world to the jungle instead of blending in with nature. Kris Machalica, managing partner and community homeowner, says, “I wanted to create something different, something that incorporated what I loved the most about Costa Rica. I loved the local people, the clean environment, the simple life, and being surrounded by the nature. I enjoyed the sunset and listening to the sounds of the ocean and jungle. I didn’t want a resort or condo like feel. I wanted my home to feel like it was part of nature.”  

This is what Los Cielos Estates is all about, embracing the nature and beauty of Costa Rica. Being in touch with the locals and living the ‘pura vida’ lifestyle and doing it at affordable prices so that more people could take part in the dream.  

After successfully completing first phase the group is preparing for construction of the Community Club house, Yoga Center and Cabanas which will be used to host potential buyers and guests of Los Cielos inhabitants.
